Our Heritage: The Sawmill

Credit my cousin Meghan Negrijn for this one :). Our forefathers we're working in a new enviornment, starting from scratch. Many of them came from the Hant's Harbour area, a more barren area than ours, and they came for lumber. First staying in winter tilts to cut logs for lumber then eventually settling and building mills locally. Apsey Brook itself, founded by William Smith and his sons had a working water mill for years, controlled by damming Dam Pond. It would be wonderful to restore a functional watermill in the brook again, and to also show the more modern version of my own father and uncles.
