The Fishing Stage

The fishing stage was an important part of the traditional life. Imagine having one restored, complete with wooden tubs, salt, a splitting table and knife, twine loft, barrels, etc.

Add a video display perhaps explaining the lifestyle (video tape a fisherman, with voiceover?) Or perhaps just displays with pictures and descriptions of the use.

Add a smoker, a flake, some caplin racks, lobster pots, and a dory and sculling ore, and we could have a great museum display. Pictures below taken by Eric Cooper. Cecil Trowbridge and Raymond Blundell are the gentlemen, and the stage and gear is Raymond's. Thank you!
